About

Mind Examination offers free, science-based tests of reasoning, emotional intelligence, personality and financial decision-making, together with plain-language guides to what each test measures.

What we aim for

• Original, well-grounded questions. Items are written for this site or taken from the public domain, and every test is built on published research. See Methodology.
• Honest results. Scores are labeled as estimates, come with an explanation of what they mean and how precise they are, and never use diagnostic language.
• Privacy by default. No account is needed. Your answers stay in your browser; only anonymous score summaries are shared, and you can switch that off.
• Free, always. All tests and full results are free.

How the site is funded

The site will be supported by advertising. Ads never appear while you are taking a test, and the Privacy Policy will be updated before any ads are shown.

Who writes the content

Tests, guides and bias pages are written by the Mind Examination team with the help of AI tools. Every piece is checked against its sources by independent reviewers and approved by an editor before publication.

Message board

The message board is a place to share results and ideas. Every message is reviewed before it appears.
