Financial Mind Test
Money knowledge, patience and attitude to loss.
What it measures
Three parts: basic financial literacy, how you trade money now against money later, and how strongly losses weigh against equal gains.
Read the guide: Your financial mind: literacy, patience and loss aversion →
How it works
- Part A: 5 questions on money basics.
- Part B: 9 choices between money now and more money later.
- Part C: 6 coin-flip bets you can accept or decline.
- Parts B and C have no right answers — choose what you would really do if the money were real. Please do not use a calculator.
About your score
You get a literacy score out of 5, a patience score based on the discount rate implied by your choices, and a loss-aversion ratio — how much bigger a possible gain needs to be than a possible loss before you take a bet. Together they give a financial decision profile.
